FAQ

  • What services do you offer?

Currenty I am offering boarding in my home while you are on a vacation, private dog training and board and training.

  • What is 'board and train'?

Board and training are when your pup comes with me for the day or an extended time to do a more intensive training. This provides many more opportunities for your pups training to help them progress a little faster. At the end of a board and train there is a lesson with the pup’s handler to showcase what was worked on so they can continue the training at home. Board and trains are on a case-by-case basis.

  • Do you do meet and greets?

Absolutely! I highly encourage meet and greets for any of the services I provide to be sure we are the right match for each other and so you can ask me any questions you may have.

  • How many dogs do you board at a time?

Generally, I stick to boarding 1-3 dogs at a time. This is to ensure not only safety but also each dog gets quality care throughout their stay. I provide a more ‘homey” boarding style, so your pup feels more relaxed. In the case of a reactive or aggressive dog, I will only board that dog.

  • Do you board reactive/aggressive dogs?

I do but, on a case-by-case basis. I am comfortable handling a dog that is dog reactive/aggressive, but I am not comfortable boarding a human reactive dog. For these cases, I strictly require a meet and greet for peace of mind for everyone, especially your pup. Please reach out and we can figure out a game plan.

  • What will my dogs stay include?

I have a private dog room in my home for my clients’ dogs. There are kennels, dog beds/cots, toys and a couch for the pups to hang out on. When unsupervised, dogs are in XL kennels to ensure their safety. These kennels can accommodate a 95lb dog and are spacious. When supervised, your pup will also have access to my living room and the yard. I have a dog pool for hot days, pool toys and giant mango tree for shade. I also take your pup out for walks at the nearby park.

  • What kind of training do you offer?

I offer different kinds of training. I don’t like to only do one kind of training as all dogs are different as well as their needs/challenges. I always do a meet and greet with dogs and their owners to go over what challenges they are facing and come up with an individual game plan to achieve their goals. I offer R+ as well as e-collar training depending on each clients’ individual needs/wants.

  • What safety protocols do you follow?

Safety is always my number one priority. Pups are crated when unsupervised so they do not chew on anything or get into things they should not be in. If dogs from multiple households are boarded at the same time, they have separate play times and do not interact with each other at all unless authorized by their owners. If a dog is reactive/aggressive, they will be the only dog boarded with me. I also use doggy gates to keep them contained if they are having their play time in the doggy room and living room areas. Dog bowls and bedding are washed/sanitized thoroughly between boarders.

  • Do you allow dogs boarding at the same time to play with each other?

So typically, the answer would be no. In special circumstances, if each dogs’ owner is ok with their pup playing with others AND the pups are a good match for each other, then yes it could be possible. This would require a prior meet and greet to see if pups are a good match for each other. Even friendly dogs don’t love all dogs. Again, safety is my number one priority as well as peace of mind for dog owners.

  • Do you send updates througout my pups stay?

Yes! I send daily updates of photos as well as videos to owners. As a dog owner myself, I understand the anxiety dog owners get when they are traveling without their companions. This is precisely why I send daily updates so owners can have some piece of mind during their pups stay.

  • Do you offer enrichment for dogs?

Yes, I do! I have toppl’s that are filled with dog safe foods like banana, blueberry, peanut butter and honey! Toppl’s are then put in the freezer for 2 or more hours and given to the pups. This helps keep pups entertained, mentally satiated and it’s a yummy cold treat.

  • How do I know/find out your availability?

The best way to find out what my availability is by reaching out through my contact form. I always respond within 24 hours whether I do or do not have the time available. I can also answer any other questions you may have, and we can book a meet and greet to see if I am a good match for you pup. You will also be able to see what my boarding set up is like.
